MR. JOSEPH MARFO (1960 - 2024)
A Life Well Lived.
Joseph Marfo entered the world on June 29, 1960, in (Kade, Akyem Ghana) – a place that always held a special place in his heart. He grew up with a love to operate and repair electrical systems on ships; and from a young age, Joseph Marfo displayed a talent for such.
After completing his education in Kade, his adventurous spirit led him to Takoradi. There, he embraced the coastal life and struck out on his own, establishing a successful business that spoke to his entrepreneurial spirit. Takoradi is also where he found love, marrying Elizabeth and starting a family. They built a happy life together for several years before deciding to seek new horizons in Accra.
The 1990s saw Joseph Marfo move to the bustling capital of Accra. This move reflected his enthusiasm and desire to further career advancement and find new opportunities. He thrived in Accra, making it his home for the rest of his life.

His life unfolded with a spirit of creativity, confidence and discipline. This was evident in his support during the formation of the Mobile Force Church now 37 Bandline Seventh-Day Adventist Church, a moment that showcased his unwavering courage and optimism. He built a career in Marine Electrical Repairs, where his determination and intelligence were highly respected by his colleagues He loved music and found joy in most Christian and General Positive songs.
Joseph Marfo will be remembered for his infectious humour that could light up a room. He had a knack for making everyone feel welcome with his everyday stories. His open nature was a constant source of strength and support for those around him and was known for his unwavering friendliness, always there to lend a helping hand during challenging times.
He found love and built a life with Elizabeth Cobbinah, and together they raised 4 wonderful children: Nana Owusu-Marfo, Benjamin Amaning Marfo, Theophilus Marfo and Jesse Obeng Marfo. Joseph Marfo cherished his role as a strict and supportive father and took immense pride in it.
Joseph Marfo leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his loving spouse, his children, his extended family and dear friends.
We will forever hold dear the memories of Joseph Marfo’s warm smile, his genuine kindness, and diligent spirit. Though he is gone, his love will forever remain in our hearts.
